A Unique Approach to Performance and Recovery

With over 20 years of experience, Alexander McLean has developed a distinctive manual therapy approach that integrates Active Release Techniques (ART) with sports massage, myofascial cupping, IASTM (fascia scraping), and biomechanical assessment.

By targeting the soft tissues—muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, and fascia—this approach helps restore proper biomechanics, allowing for the efficient treatment of muscle and nerve pain (such as sciatica or carpal tunnel), as well as inflammatory conditions (tendonitis, capsulitis, bursitis, fasciitis) and injuries such as sprains.

The focus is not only on resolving injuries, but also on preventing them, accelerating recovery, and optimizing posture and performance.

This method benefits everyone: from elite athletes to weekend warriors, young athletes, and anyone who wants to stay active and move with confidence.

Alexander C. Mclean

Massage Therapist

Involved in injury management from the very start of his career as a physiotherapy assistant, Alexander trained as a massage therapist to specialize in Active Release Techniques (ART). Over the last 22 years, he has developed his own integrated approach to sports massage, blending ART with manual therapy methods such as deep tissue massage and Rolfing.

As one of only two ART instructors in Quebec, Alexander has taught at seminars in Montreal, Toronto, New York, New Orleans, and Paris. His expertise extends from the clinic to the field, making him a trusted resource in competitive sports. He has worked with professionals, student-athletes, and amateurs across hockey, soccer, football, volleyball, basketball, bodybuilding, powerlifting, CrossFit, golf, and triathlon.

Alexander’s career highlights include serving as therapist for Dragon Boat Canada at the

2013 and 2015 IDBF World Championships in Hungary and Niagara, supporting athletes at the Canadian Ironman races in Mont-Tremblant (2012–2017), and providing care at CrossFit, powerlifting, and Red Bull Crashed Ice events. His skills have also been sought after in film and television productions.

Alex is the best physiotherapist/ massage therapist I have ever met. He is first after many that was able to actually help me. I had pain for the last 13 years with my hip and lower back. I could never sit comfortably.
After one visit I noticed a difference the same day.
He is very knowledgeable and makes sure you feel at home and comfortable.
Great price, Worth every penny
